Ancient Magadha has been the center of various sects and cultures. Many types of cultures and sects developed here, among which were Buddhists, Shaivas,Shaktas,Jainsm  Vaishnovs and worshipers of Surya.from which many types of culture Arose.Due to which there was a lot of progress in the field of Ancient Art &  Architecture.The early medieval period was a good time for art in India. During this period, ancient temples, monasteries, monasteries, buildings and statues were constructed on a large scale.Even today we find the remains of that period, which is now in  their final stages.

The remains of an ancient temple are situated at a height of 300-400 feet on the mountain named Babadham near Banke Bazaar(Gaya).This appears to be the remains of an Ancient Sun Temple.This temple must have been built in the last phase of the Pala Period(11th-12th Century )

This place is surrounded by many mountains and forests. These four ancient pillars must have been part of the Temple Mandapa.There are a large number of pillars and plaques scattered nearby this Ruins. This 4 Pillar would have been part of the sanctum sanctorum(Garbha griha ) of the temple.in which a prominent ancient statue Resided.

The entire area of ​​the Ancient temple is spread over 60-80 feet.In which brick and Stone Pillars have been used. This must have been a large temple in Ancient time.

Sun worship has been very famous in Magadha since Ancient times.There are many famous and ancient Sun temples in Magadha region.Sun worship is not only in Hindu religion but also in Buddhism and Jainism. became famous.On this mountain, Few broken statue of   Sun(Surya) is found, which has been badly Damaged.

This important site needs to be thoroughly surveyed through archaeological methods, so that its secrets can be revealed and it can be conserved.A new chapter added in the regional history of Magadha if it is excavated in Future.
